Grow You Hair

When I was younger I had really long wavy hair. My London hair dresser at Daniel Galvin, never told me to cut it off as I would regret it. I guess what a couple years later I did! I kept having loads of hair cuts and eventually it turned into a Bob Haircut. Now this was around 4-5 years ago when I had just started to colour my hair. As it got longer is was anoyying as it wasn't short and wasn't long. So colouring was an opinion has it changed it a bit, and wanted to grow it out. But the problem is that it taken me so long to grow it out as, I have been blonde, brown, blonde, brown so many times that it's really damaged and need to leave it alone, if I want to grow it out. So now I have kind of stopped dying my hair, and will probably leave it for a couple of years to get it healthy and long again.

Now there is no way that there is anything out there, that will make your hair grow 15inchs in a week. But, some of these tips will really help you hair grow that little bit faster, which will make a difference!

Hair Masks

Now even though I have just purchased a hair mask doesn't mean that's the only opinion, in fact this one is probably better then the one I got for Christmas!

Mix in a small bowl: 1 egg yolk, 1 table spoon of honey, 1 table spoon of extra virgin olive oil and 1 table spoon of vodka. Massage this mixture into the roots of your hair and then, spread to the lengths; wait for about 40 minutes. (For better results you can put a shower cap on your head and cover it up with a towel. After the 40 minutes, wash and condition your hair, as usual.

Brush your Hair

Brushing your hair for 1-2 minutes once or twice a day will stimulate circulation to your scalp.

Massage you head

When you are in the bath or shower, make sure you massage you head when putting shampoo on. Do it gently and with your fingers, this stimulates blood flow and makes your hair grow.

Don't apply Conditioner to the Roots

Never apply hair conditioner to the roots your hair! Your hair will proably get oilily very quickly and you will loose a lot of volume! Some hair conditioners contain waxes and silicons, and if you apply them on your scalp, it can prevent the skin on your head from breathing and clog pores.

Sleeping

Make sure that you care for your hair while you sleep. Never sleep with a tight ponytail or a tight braid, it definitely won’t help your hair grow faster and can even cause breakage of your hair and pains in your scalp. Make a loose ponytail instead.

There are also different oils that you can use, that will help your hair a lot like Caster Oil and Coconut Oil. But I will go more into that in a separate post!

Hope you found this useful!

And hope everyone had a great weekend !

  3. I didnt know about avoiding applying conditioner directly on to the roots, I'll try and avoid it in future as I feel like my roots are all flat and I have too much volume everywhere else lol xD
